Peter Pannke has lived in India, Pakistan, Iran and Turkey for many years before he settled in Berlin, making a name for himself as a writer, musician, producer and organizer of world music events. He studied Dhrupad, the oldest surviving vocal art of India, with the families of the Malliks and the Dagars, and went on to create his own personal style of singing.

 
Barbaros Erköse belongs to a family of musicians who won international fame through their unique repertory of Roma music, including all countries which were part of the erstwhile Ottoman empire - Greece, the Near East, the Balkan, and Azerbeijan. The Erköse Brothers are among the most outstanding and versatile musicians of Istanbul. Barbaros Erköse collaborated also with the Anuoar Brahem Trio and Craig Harris, and recently formed his own family group with his children.
 
Louis Soret is a French multi-instrumentalist and composer who studied the music of the North African Maghreb over several decades. His manifold musical activities include composing for theatre and opera and playing with several Jazz, medieval and oriental ensembles, like ‘La Grande Bleue – Musiques imaginaires de la Méditerranée’ and ‘Le Concert dans L’Oeuf’.  
Iyad Haimour comes from Damasc. He received his introduction into the world of Arabian art music by his master Jaoudat Halabi, who was a musician as well as an instrumentmaker. In 1985 he settled in France as a professional musician.  
Premkumar and Anandkumar Mallik belong to a family of musicians formerly attached to the court of the Maharajas of Darbhanga in Northern Bihar. For many centuries, they kept on the tradition of Dhrupad singing and of playing the pakhawaj drum. They have collaborated with Peter Pannke since more than 20 years, and performed in many major European venues (BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall/London; Alte Oper/Frankfurt; New Jazz Festival/Moers; Parampara! Festival, Haus der Kulturen der Welt/Berlin).
